Religious School
The SJC Religious School’s mission is to engage our students in meaningful experiential learning that is relevant to their lives. Our curriculum teaches core Jewish values, we nurture identity, a sense of belonging to the Jewish people, a connection to Israel, and a commitment to Judaism. Students in Kindergarten and First grade learn about the Jewish holidays, ritual objects, and Jewish traditions. Students in 2nd through 7th grade delve deeply into Torah, Jewish holidays, and explore Israel and Israeli culture. Students in 3rd through 7th grade study Hebrew with the goal of deepening their understanding, connection, and the power of Jewish prayer. All students participate in The Community Education Project, a multi-generational learning experience on Rabbi Ruth’s weekends. Our Religious School students meet once per week on Sunday morning from 9:30a.m. to 12:00p.m.
